Went to watch Eragon

Yesterday I went to watch Eragon with my Ahyi. Before we left I tried to book tickets for the movie incase there was a long line of people who are also trying to get tickets to watch Eragon.... I just HAD to watch this show since I read the book, lol. After about 3 min of pressing the numbers on the phone, they said no tickets.....Aiyo.....In the car I was cursing all the traffic lights that were green, the changed to yellow, and then to red...... Then back to green......

We still had 1 hour and 30 min until the next show started, but I was in a a rush incase of the long lines, my Ahyi told me to relax....no rush, surely got tickets.....

We were lucky 'cause when we entered the parking lot, we found a good spot right away, and its not often this would happen in a crowded shopping mall.

While we were heading to the highest floor (which is the cinema), I was walking really fast, but not running, incase, again, if there would be a long line. When we reached, aaaaaa....the line was so SHORT!!! Phew..........Now all we need to worry is about seats. And yes, we got great seats. We still had another half hour, so I bought ice-cream. Went into the cinema and sat down.....

20 min of comercials.....just get on with the movie. When it finally started I was so exited....

So the movie went on....and then what made me wonder was WHY, WHY, WHY did all the important things that were in the book, they didn't show in the film??? I couln't believe it.......In the movie I was expecting the next part the way it was in the book, but noooooo, it went on to almost like, the next chapter!

When the movie was over, I was sooooooo happy that I finally got to see Eragon, but also a little upset because of all the good stuff they didn't put into the movie.

Well, sometimes, ignorance is bliss..........lol. And sometimes, reading the book has more than what is on the film.

Singapore Trip (Day 4)

Got up, then a teacher would come in to check our room and see if we left anything unpacked.

Checked put of the YWCA. Bye bye Singapore........went through Singapore custom, then Malaysian custom. We had our breakfast at Johor, another hawker stall. This time we didn't use $, we used our RM. Ate roti canai......yay.........

Stopped by Melaka, went shopping again, didnt buy alot, another keychain. Saw AFamosa, and the tombstones.....

Our last lunch was also at Melaka, again, what we were served, we had to finish.......I ate all the vegetables....and the guys like Jason and "ai zhai" took most of the meat.....no fair. Mr. Lai ate the fish, and he let me take a pic of him and the fish bone........lol. Well, he didn't eat the fish bone, that would be a dumb thing to do..........On the bus we were all singing karaoke..so fun. When we reached school, some of us cried a little bit, we are leaving our friends ma..........sad. Hopefully, new year they would call us back to go on another school trip.................I had fun, and I hope those who went also had fun, lol.

Singapore Trip (Day 3)

Got up a bit later today, becasue yerterday we were so tired. We were the earliest group to reach the lobby.

Went to the same hawker stall as yesterday, had chicken rice again.....

First we went to the bird park, saw penguins, flamingo's, talking parrots, and alot more. We also got to ride on a sort of train that took us around the bird park. Bus B got to go first. Bus A had to wait. haha..Then we saw 2 bird shows, the first one had a bird named Hazel, MY gosh....if they added a "nut" to the Hazel, it would be Hazelnut, my nickname, lol... The second bird show we saw 2 birds, a boyfriend and a girlfriend pair of parrots. Amirah and Amigo. They sang a song for us. So cute.

Then we went to the Singapore Zoo. At the entrance some girls were asking us to join Club NatGeo, so I did, and we got a free polar bear book mark too. Haha. The Zoo isn't that smelly, good. There was a polar bear that was going to be 16 ye
ars old. And there was also all the other animals....those I took 1 picture each, ...but the polar pear and the leopard was the cutest......Hehe. We did a lot of walking so our legs were almost dead when we reached the bus.

In the bus our teacher told us that we would be going shopping next at China Town. All the stalls that sell the cheap and good stuff. We were doing a Christmas gift exchange so if we wanted to take part we had a buy a present 3 $ and below. Most people got keychains. And we did get some souveneirs for ourselves......we shopped for a half hour, then went back to the bus. Went to eat dinner, and this time we were served nd had to finsih everything. Haiz.............
Then we went to Ochard Road, the display of Christmas lights.......So BEAUTIFUL!!! lol. But we didnt stay there long because there were alot of people and our teachers were afraid we would get lost. While waiting for our bus to come, our teacher made us sing "We wish you a erry Christmas" infront of the whole crowd of people in Ochard Road....... And then....there was a News Paper reporter who took our pictures!!! Wow....... We are history!!! The reporter said we would apper in the News Paper tomorow, and Cikgu Chin would put it up in the school website, lol. Got to hotel, this is our last night so we had to pack up. Tomorow we are leaving early.

Went back to hotel, this is our last night so we had to pack up.....time really flew by fast.....wow

Singapore Trip (Day 2)

Woke up today at 5.30a.m, all 3 alarms that were set rang at the same time, not to mention the hotel reception giving us a wake up call, so that made 4.... Steph, Fiona, Yi Wern and me were the first girls room to get down to the lobby......
First we went to a hawker stall to eat breakfast, we had to pay for it ourselves......its not provided. Hade chicken rice.
Went to visit the NEWater factory. Saw to short films about "The Waters Of Singapore". Then we went to the NEWater arcade to play some games......not really fun, I just simply press the buttons only, lol. Took a few pictures. Then we left....

Then we went to Sentosa Island, we were going to be there for the rest of the day. Bus A was so lucky.....they got to sit on the double-decker bus, and it was open air somemore, so lucky. Bus B didn't get the double-decker, but atleast we got a open-air bus, who would want to be in a air-conditioned bus at Sentosa???

First we went to Underwater World, we got to touch the fish at the touch pool, nobody touched the pufferfish, and alot touched the blue fish...I like the shark, Timothy said that a fish in the touch-pool slapped him on the hand with its fin......haha.....After that we went to eat lunch, thank goodness we didnt have to eat everything that was served because we had a buffet lunch by the seaside...................

Second we went to the Merlion tower, saw a short cartoon about how Sinagpore was discovered by a prince.... great view of Sentosa leh, on the Merlions head. They even had music up there.....

Third we went to sit on the Carlsberg Sky Tower (highest in Asia). There we got a GREATER view of Sentosa.....it was definitely higher than the Merlion tower....

Third we went to see a 4D show, now that, was cool.... 4D leh....besides a show where you see things getting closer to you, the chair would be moving, and there would be water spraying at you, and wind somewhere from your chair.....poor Jeremy was trying to sleep but since everything his seat was moving up and down, it was impossible to sleep...

We missed the dolphin show because it was raining, and while the teachers were discussing something, we were lined up and standing beside a whole bunch of toursists, and a nice couple from Brazil were talking to me and my buddies staning behind and infront of me, and they were lucky....they went on a holiday to somewhere in China I think, on a cruise ship for a whole month..........lucky.

We took a skylift down to the beach, the teachers and our 2 tourguides took a luge down to the beach, so unfair......at the beach we got to play with the sand or we could join the telematch. We even got to bury one of our friends in the sand,
he looked funny......and he was the only one brave enough to voulenteir.....When it was time to eat, all our shoes were filled with alot of sand......so uncomfortable. Dinner was also a buffet, and they had CURRY!!! YAY!!

On the way back to YWCA, everyone on the bus fell asleep. So tired. All the sand in our shoes was poured out onto the floor.

Singapore Trip (Day 1)

Woke up at 6 a.m today because we had to be in school by 6.30a.m.... I woke my Ahyi up at 6.15a.m...A bad time, I shouldv'e known. She had to change into her office clothes some more....so we reached my school at 6.30 something....they ALMOST left without me. I got there as soon as everyone was walking into the bus...phew!
In the bus on the way to our destination....we all talk with friends or sleep, or eat, or playing with handphones......We stopped by R & R to eat breakfast.
When we reached Johor we all ate lunch, we couldn't choose who to sit with because our teachers say we would be all girls or all boys. At the table I am sitting at, all the girls are from 6H. Stephanie, Fiona, me, Ke Wei and Zhie Lyn. And the guys are from 6K except a guy from Standad 5. Guang Yao, Fayson, Jason, Mr. Lai a.k.a Adidas and "ai zhai". We had to finish EVERYTHING that was on the table or we couln't leave. It took us a while to finish, and when we were done most of us had to run to the bathroom.....

We went through the Malaysian custom, then the Singapore custom.......
When we got to Singapore we went first to the Scinence Centre. So many cool things.... There were illusions......an electrical show.....animals.....and we got to find out h0w we would look like when we are older.....all of us look very stupid.....all the teachers look very funny and ugly when they are older. And I advised them not to be to stresed when they teach or they would REALLY grow old and look like that.....haha. And we also got to stick our heads out of a bowl of fruit, my favourite one was this...Dom and Jun both look so cute and funny...

Went to eat dinner, again, we had to finish everything that was served to us......poor Mr. Lai was being bullied by us because the first dish to be served was soup, he dipped his chopsticks into the soup AFTER licking his chopsticks....eww. But we still had to drink the soup, and it was SALTY!! BLAK!!! And we all said it was Mr. Lai's fault for making the soup salty because of his saliva....and we gave him a new nickname, Mr Salty. And everytime a new dish came one of us "tested" it before the rest just to make sure it isn't salty....We were the last table to finish because all 10 of us ot the table couln't stop laughing about all the jokes told by Jason and Fayson, I think Mr. Lai didn't really care much, he was also laughing......

Checked into YWCA. Fiona, me, Steph and Yi Wern are sharing a room. Couldn't sleep so we 4 talked, and then got told of by our teacher for not sleeping......

The joy of giving

Today my kakak woke me up at 7.30a.m. Oh....I forgot.....today I'm supposed to voulenteir for an orphanage event. Then because yesterday I went to my Ahyi's friend's wedding so I very tired...lazy to get up.......we were supposed to leave at 8.30a.m. Whe I looked at the clock, OMG!!! Its 8.00a.m!! I jumped out of bed brush my teeth, pulled on my jeans and ran downstairs. And yes, not to forget, I did wear a shirt, so don't panic.
Waaaaaa, thank goodness my Ahyi haven't wake up, or else I'll be dead. So I relax a little, take my time to makan pagi...but not hungry, just eat 2 piece's of white bread. No protien, haha. My mom would kill me, buts shes not home. Hehe. When it was 8.30a.m, my Ahyi STILL sleeping, alamak!! Have to go. I bang on her door and she jumped out of bed, then she say we have to be there by 10a.m.........................MAN!!! Then I still coulv'e sleep until 9.30a.m ...........
We left the house by 9.15a.m, and my Ahyi didnt eat beakfast.
This was to be held at some residential place called Sucasa...... And this whole thing was organized by Yellow House and we got to wear a Yellow House shirt ...cool. Before the kids from the orphanage came along with the orphanage caretakers, we had to set up the stations, wrap the presents, blow up ballons, count sweets, pack gifts..............Kept us busy la........ Then we had extra 2 minuets, so we chose our stamps and double-check everything.
Then the kids came, they registered at the ballon counter(which is also the registering counter) and each got a book that they could get the chops from each of us. I got the smiley face stamp.
First the kids were divided into 2 groups, kids below 8 participated in the colouring contest and kids 8 and above participated in the "Design your own Cristmas Wrapping competition". Me and another voulenteir, Angie, had to do a demo for the Christmas Wrapping competition, because some didn't understand. Aiya!! What do draw?? So I simply draw la, I draw a whole lot of presents, and only a demo, but still had to make it "worth following as an example". Angie say its nice woo....
It took the 8 and above competition a little more time, and the below 8 group had alot to colour. While waiting, 2 of the voulenteirs were helping the kids give them their supplies, and the other voulenteirs were either making ballon hats or getting ready for the next game. My job was getting ready for the next game. When the kids were done they went to eat, me and my Ahyi's friend made changes to the next game, which was called "The Amazing Ballon Race".
When the kids were eating, and we were finised the changing the game, voulenteirs went to eat, but there wasn't much to eat because the kids ate first, so we were left with the fries, hotdos and fishballs....all the mee hon was finished. Then we had to give each of the kids their Rasa Ku stamps (lunch stamp).
When they were done, we got them to play the game.I had to do a demo for the kids... And I guess it mustv'e been my fault they played the game kinda wrong........ I was suposed to go in some boxes with a ballon, and come out with the same ballon Iwent in with, because inside the boxes there are many other coloured ballons., and inside I accidently poped alot of the ballons, and the kids thought that it was part of the game, so they followed me. The kids, in the boxes, made their ballons pop. That made all of us laugh. So the game wan't played properly. When that was done, all the kids gathered and sat down, and I gave out prizes to who won the competitons, and then who won the ballon race.
And they each got a present from underneath the Christmas tree. All the kids were happy, and so were the voulenteirs. I'm glad I participated. So getting up that early on a school holiday (for me) really did pay off.

Wedding

Woke up today and the house was completely empty. Watched TV, nothing good on. Then when my family came back from the park, I just spent the rest of the day reading........
At 5.00p.m my Ahyi asked me to wrap a wedding present for her friend, Erna. And then at 6.00p.m me, my grandma and Ahyi got ready to go for the wedding dinner. My grandpa didnt wanna go, he was to lazy, and even if he did go he would wanna go back about halfway during the event.
We left the house at 7.00p.m.
Not a bad place for a wedding, at some clubhouse near Lake Gardens. Inside was so COLD!! Maybe it was what I wore, stupid me, I shoulv'e known better to ware something warmer. The guests were NOT punctual, some arived while the bride and bridegroom were walking in.........
They first had some prayers, and then food............And since this was a Malay wedding dinner, there were dishes like rendang......lamb......mixed vegetables......A whole lote of good stuff. And we drank syrup. And I drank a cup of coffie, man........Its nice if you add alot of sugar (to me), because its bitter without sugar.
Then they gave out little boxes where they put they put a little piece of fruit cake in there, and usualy when I go to a wedding they give out paper boxes, out this wedding gave out nice hard boxes, like a little treasure chest. So beautiful. And inside wasn't cake, it was chocolate.......
We left when the bride and bridegroom visited each table to take some pictures with the guests. Ofcourse we had to take a picture with the beautiful bride and her new partner. They both made a beautiful couple.
We left at 9.30p.m.

Cheers to the happy couple!! Have a great life together!!!

....................

Today I woke up at 9.00a.m. Usualy on a school holiday I wake up about...11a.m, or later. Atleast I'm not like my cousin, she gets up at 3p.m (or later) on a school holiday ......but the family lets her sleep....she stressed anyway because at 5.am she wakes up and from Johor her dad drives her and her brother to Singapore. And she get 1st in her whole grade man....so smart. She's a good model student.
Anyways, when I came down at 9.15a.m, my family and my mom's staff all were like.......oh goodness, why is Rhon awake at 9a.m? They would understand if my mom was around and I woke up at 9a.m. But with my mom outstation and me waking up at 9.a.m, ok.........
Breakfast, homemade doughnuts man.......you da best kakak!! Then to avoid my mom getting mad at me for not helping her staff, I stared "work". I did the most boring job ever, folding plastic bags. Halfway, they let me stop, and they asked me to do the messyest job, painting baskets.
It was about 12p.m., and the sun was HOT!!! I would get sunburned if I wasn't wearing a hat. I finished that about 1 hour and a half later. I was swaeting, and if my mom saw me, she would probably faint. Face, arms, legs, toes.....I was covered in paint. If I were to get all the paint off by taking a shower, it would take me hours. But the faster way was to just use the liquid thingy. Fast and easy.
I was done........reading was the best way to spend my afternoon, so thats what I did. Then had guitar lesson. My teacher was, erm, a little weird today. First he banged his guitar onto the chair by accident, second he kept dropping his pen, and third evrytime we stared a song, he played the wrong chords........haha. That was the last lesson of the year, and thank goodness to, because now I'm in grade 2, and what I'm learning gets more complicated. And now, I have the whole 3 weeks until my next lesson. So when I have my next lesson, hopefully the way I play "Lover's Concerto" would sound better to my guitar teacher and he would teach me something else.
Came online. Sleepy now, maybe I'll get up late tomorow if I woke up early today.

Where?

Snowball fight! What else is winter good for? Hehe............ But, where to find snow in Malaysia???? I never touched snow before......Unless I go to Genting Highlands and go to that Snowland thingy, whatever its called...but the snow there isn't really nice.........I can't even make a snowball! Its fake. My dad now in the U.S with my baby sister and his wife (she's not my mom, and not my stepmother, my Aunt) And there they get great snow.....man, then why am I still here? (dont wanna say no more, change topic?)

Its the holiday season and there's no school, so that means there's no homework, and no nagging teachers. But now, even though its nice that I don't have to get up at 6.30a.m Monday to Friday....I kinda miss school, my friends think I'm nuts, missing school. I don't really mean by "miss" school, they just never wanna listen to the other half when chatting. I miss my friends AND school. Especially since I had tons of friends in school, same age as me or younger. And I have made so many markings on my class wall, so many memories man......... I miss it! Friends and school, all!!!! :( :(
Where are all my friends?? I miss ya'll like crazy!!

Graduation

17/11/06 Friday

Today's the day......GRADUATION. The saddest day of the year in school (I guess). This year, we are the pioneer batch, our school has been standing for 6 years and we studied in this school for 6 years. Everyone gets to school early and starts snapping photographs of friends...... teachers, anything for memory of this day. When the parents start coming and the students are done snapping pictures, the event begins.

Violin performers, beautiful. Next came the speeches by the V.I.P's, boring. All the parents were lucky, since they were sitting at the back and surrounded by other parents, they start to talk. At least everyone in front can't hear them chit-chatting. And the V.I.P's weren't looking at the back but, at the front. At least, that's what I saw, because halfway during speeches, performers had to get ready.

Lucky us, because the performers had to change, maybe practice again. And the others who weren't performing were still sitting down watching the V.I.P's deliver their "impactful" speeches.

There were 3 performances, which was very little. 2 were from 6B, and one was from my class, 6H.
My class were the first performers. 6 of us. Melissa, Foog Ling, me, Jeremy, Kendrick and Jun Shern. From what my dad said, we were the best performers out of 2. The dance by 6B was only using mostly their hands. And the other performance by 6B was singing. That one was nice and a little funny because one singer Edward made so many funny actions.

After choir was where all the graduate students went onstage to sing. Now there was where all the parents with cameras came to the front and started taking pictures, and where the graduate students start to cry. The first and second song we were all supposed to smile, 3rd and fourth we had to act a bit more sorrowful. And some really did, like me, we cried. When we went offstage, most students were crying, hugging friends. A really emotional day.

In our respective classes, we received our year books and our certificates. Even our teacher was crying. She was sad to see us now all 49 of her students grown up, leaving their school and moving on.
Neither the students could bear leaving their friends and their school.

I tried hard not to cry, but I failed. It was impossible not to stop crying. 2 of my best friends found me and ran up to me, and we hugged again, still crying. My dad looked on, and even he shed a tear, seeing me leave my best friends after 6 years.

As I took my last step out of school, I looked back. All my school memories will remain in my heart and in school. My school will still be there, and one day, I might return to visit my school , I don't know why, but I just might will. And as for my friends, we will meet again, somewhere down the road.
